一月の最終週、僕はBerlinに来た4ヶ月前から、3回目の風邪を引いていた。
寝込んだ三日間の間にKindleの本を巡り、思い立って、大好きだった作家の本を久しぶりに読む。
最近書かれた新しいエッセイも見つける。
十数年前に読んだエッセイには無かった奥さんや息子の存在があり、同じ時を生きて、一緒に歳を重ねているんだな、と感じさせられる。
The last week of January, I was sick again. I was randomly picking some books on Kindle in bed, and ended up stuck with rereading my favourite author after 10+ years.
I also found that he’d just published a new essay a couple of years ago. I read his old essay when I was into his books, but there was no wife or kid in it which is in the new essay. That reminds me of that he lives in the same world and time as mine.
